We’re going off-and-away from the city for an enriching getaway in the midst of nature, combining yoga, meditation and a gorgeous farmstay with orchards. Practice yogasanas at sunrise, meditation among the lush greens, organic meals made from produce grown right on the farm, and bird trails - the perfect way to unwind, rejuvenate and get close to your natural self! To round off the whole experience of well-being we will also go on nature walks, musical evenings, take a dip in the plunge pool, and maybe learn some pottery.
Anuja & Sneha run the Kokum Tree - an experiential homestay, a legacy of their lovely grandmother. They gave up their city lives to make the farm and homestay what it is, and are super-enthu hosts no matter what you want to do - farm activities, learning pottery or knowing more about the surrounding flora and fauna. Sonam & Rujuta of YogaBae are energetic trainers specializing in classic hatha yoga, certified by The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center. Coming from corporate backgrounds they’re well aware of daily stress, hectic city lifestlyes & intense jobs. Yoga helped them in managing this, and they now want to share the experience through their workshops!
We all know that yoga not only helps in better flexibility, strengthening / toning muscles and improving balance, but has many mental health benefits as well. Regular aasanas & pranayamas help majorly in stress reduction. To this end, we’ll be doing atleast 2 sessions daily! and that too, in a lush green setting.
Meditation is a very effective tool for mindfulness. The instructors will help us understand and practice meditation by using different techniques, breathwork, chanting and sounds, making it easy for everyone to learn.
The whole point of connecting with our Inner Selves is so we can make the most of our Outer Lives! We'll take in the lively side of the farmhouse too - river and farm walks, birdwatching in the orchard, fruit picking, swimming in the pool, learning pottery and so on.
We'll have homemade organic meals that are prepared the local way, using fresh produce from ther own farm. We can even help in picking our own vegetables for the day!
Named after the indigeneous fruit of the Konkan region, The Kokum Tree is nestled in a fruit-laden orchard. A beautiful modern villa, we'll watch sunsets from its deck, movies in its open air theatre and laze in the plunge pool to cool off in the afternoons. Its the perfect place for warm hospitality and the relaxed atmosphere that one needs for a yoga retreat!

The best thing about WCH is that these guys are totally customer centric, right from booking accommodations to setting an itinerary! The itinerary itself doesn't feel like you're on some tour with a rigid schedule. It is pretty free flowing, but extremely well thought out at the same time. I recently went for their Windrush Rising trip in place of my cancelled Eurotrip and I genuinely believe it was one of the best decisions I made.
Trekking with WHC has been one of the most beautiful experience & with perfect team cordination & arrangments provided even at the top of the mountain Wouldn"t expected more, the vibe was just right with like minded people waiting for sunrise. Would highly reccomend everybody to go with WHC (you guys rock!!) thanks for being patient. Thanks Kunal for helping me till the end & Kuntal for sharing your experiences. & would love to trek again in any furture treks.
